History

It all began years ago when founder John Griem were providing services to the Danish theatres and learned that actors and other employees at the Danish Royal Theatre were suffering from allergic reactions, whenever costumes and interior were treated with fire retardants. It triggered John’s ”inner chemist” and John locked himself into his lab and dived into his books.

Successfully, John came up with a new formular and the first version of the non-toxic, yet extremly effective fire retardant was born.

Later, in a refined version, the none-toxic fire-retardant was introduced to the Danish private consumer market in a liquid form under the trade name BURNBLOCK®.

BURNBLOCK® proved effective on any and all wooden materials and other absorbing materials to be found in domestic households.

Subsequently, John has spent quite some efforts developing versions of the fire retardant, which will work for the the industries, including the construction timber and processed wood industries, and the industries of woven and non-woven textiles.

Patent applications were filed years ago with the assistance of Irvine based California patent law firm Knobbe Martens Olson & Bear as well as European patent lawyers.

As a result, patents have been granted in the US, in the EU, and throughout the world.

The patented formular together with our secret manufacturing procedures and an added ”twist” provides the extremely efficient and yet none-toxic and biodegradable BURNBLOCK® fire-retardant which will outcompete all the competitors.
